You're a mole in the CIA! Steal documents, sabotage colleagues, and wreak havoc!- but beware... everyone is watching

This game was created for the Historically Accurate Game Jam 3

Controls:

- Movement:  arrow keys or 'W', 'A', 'S', 'D'

- Sprint (hold): 'SHIFT'

- Interact: 'SPACE'

- Hint: 'H'

- Pause: 'ESC'

Tutorial:

Essential tip: Press 'H' to see a hint! To lower your suspicion level, go to your cubicle until someone notices you there!

Essential tip #2: You'll know you've got the right item or done the right thing when the hint changes. If you need to discard  an item, use a trash can.

1) Read the overall objective from the secretly delivered manila envelope.

2) Try to accomplish your objective or press 'H' to see a hint of your first step.

3) Navigate the map without drawing the attention of your coworkers. Hold 'shift' to sprint.

4) Press 'space' near an object to interact and complete your objective by any means!

Development:

We went into this knowing that we wanted to make something a bit bigger than our earlier games. It was fortunate that we had a friend (who is an experienced developer) want to join us! So, we added a new member to our team (bringing our grand  total to 3).

Perhaps biting off a bit more than we could chew in the jam's period (1 week), we settled on a 1960's office stealth game. Also, we knew we wanted the player to be able to accomplish the main objective through multiple paths (similar to the Untitled Goose Game). So, the goal was to create a single, super map that was a sandbox for the player to accomplish whatever main objective they have through any means possible.

It turns out that designing and implementing such a complex system takes a lot of time :D... However, we managed to pull through and are proud of what we have to show for the jam! We've got big plans for new objectives, more map interactables, and even dynamic NPC dialog! Please let us know if you find any bugs, have a suggestion, or just want to say hello :). Thanks for playing!

It's been some time since I played Stealth games. I find it enjoyable despite being short. The lack of hiding places really tense me up. That said, you got some problem in your work in the form of bad pathfinding. Like, Angelton and a female office worker that frequent the break room ended up clogging the entrance to the break room like its Suez. You might want to fix that.

For sure, at some point we might go back to this project and iron out some of those simpler bugs.

Thanks for giving it a shot :)

Thank you! We enjoyed making it :D

I really enjoyed this!  Great job.

If I'm not mistaken, that's incidental music from the Pink Panther, one of my favorite films!

Thank you kindly!

I had no idea some of the music was from Pink Panther! Definitely fits with where I found it, though haha. It's a clip from a CC podcast from a few years back: a guy sharing his vinyl spy music collection.

Thanks so much :)

Glad you liked the music as well. Lucky that we were able to dig up some pleasant period tunes!
