JAM DEVELOPMENT

This was a sick-with-Covid jam game for me, so I had plenty of time to spend locked away with nothing to distract me from making the best game I possibly could. Of course, there are still many things I couldn't include. It just wouldn't be a jam game without some cut features!
Overall, I'm very pleased with what I accomplished aurally, visually, and narratively. It's actually the first game I've made that has what I would consider an ending (two in fact O.o).
I hope it's as fun for you to play through as it was for me to make!

Hi! I play your game with the steam deck... and it is amazing!... I'm planing making more of that! What do you think?

That's awesome! Never thought I'd see Benson running on a real handheld :0

Thank goodness for web builds haha!

Handheld is the future! The number of devices on the market in the last two years is insane.  We all need to target that market!!!

I believe the pc version works great as "handshakes" game did!

I LOVE this game!! I had a a lot of fun playing this game, especially to see the other ending! ðŸ¤£ The art seems so simple yet so cute and clean. Congrats on being in the front page for the jam lol! New fan ðŸ˜Ž

I hope you feel better from covid!!

Thank you so much! I fully recovered from Covid but still have post-jam fever and can't stop adding features :P

Really well done!  Fantastic art style, creative idea, and the game worked very well.  It's also well balanced: it took me some tinkering to figure out the puzzles, which is good, but they were fair.  When I saw the mention of a second ending, I of course had to go back and play a second time.  Great work!

[Play the game before reading on]: Only very minor snag I had was that the first time I played, I had tinkered with the crane and had left it slightly off the ground; when I then pushed the battery all the way to the right (flush with crane), I could no longer access the plug for operating the crane (blocked by battery), nor could I push the battery back to the left, away from the crane, so I was just stuck and had to reset the game.

That was a minor issue and not likely to be experienced by many players -- nice job on this game!

It's awesome you liked it enough to see the other ending!

That crane puzzle definitely needs a lot of safeguards to not break the game. Originally, I wanted Benson to be able to pull as well as push the generator... but that obviously never got implemented 😅

Thanks for sticking with it through the jank!

Short and sweet!! Great ending and I LOVED the animation where he plugs in his face! Making W also work as a jump key would be nice but that’s just my personal opinion. Great job!

Excellent point about the controls! I always forget that people tend to have different input preferences. I'll probably try to add a rebinding feature soon.

Thanks for the constructive feedback!
